Inco Limited and United SteelworkersÂ? Local 6500 reached a tentative deal today that could end the 13-week old strike.

Although union representatives wonÂ?t release complete details about the proposed three-year agreement until union members get an opportunity to review it, IncoÂ?s press release indicated the offer includes improvements to wages and pensions, while preserving Â?the integrity of IncoÂ?s health care benefits program.Â?
The union has scheduled an information session for its union stewards on Wednesday at 9 am, followed by information sessions for its members at 11 am, 2 pm and 4 pm. The SteelworkersÂ? membership will vote on the deal Thursday.
