Acts of Kindness: One surgery down, two to go, so we surprise Baby Mason and his mom

Sudbury.com meets Tasheena Recollet and nine-month-old Mason Shawbonquit

The birth of your first child can be an overwhelming experience, especially if your baby is born with health complications.

In today’s act of kindness, we are helping Greg Shawbonquit surprise the mother of his child. Tasheena Recollet is a young mom who is caring for their nine-month-old son Mason.

Mason spent the first few months of his life in hospital.

He was just three months old when he had open heart surgery at Sick Kids Hospital to repair two holes in his heart.

Luckily, that surgery went well, but Mason will now have a gastrostomy tube (g-tube) inserted and is waiting to have a hernia repaired.

Watch as we meet Tasheena and Mason, and deliver some much needed supplies.

Thank you to Tony V's and Pharmasave Health Care Pharmacy on Lasalle for helping this new mom.
