All-candidate debate kicks off race for mayor

On Oct 15, NorthernLife.ca reported live from Collège Boréal for the mayoral all-candidates event, hosted by the Great Sudbury Chamber of Commerce.

The candidates in attendance were Jean-Raymond Audet, Brian Bigger, Jeanne Brohart, Ron Dupuis, Jeff Huska, Richard Majkot, Dan Melanson, Ed Pokonzie and John Rodriguez.

Moderated by Greater Sudbury Chamber of Commerce board chair Geoff Jeffery, the event consisted of three chamber panelists: Sheri Tomchick of Plan A Health Care Staffing Solutions, Karen Hourtovenko of Lifezone Consulting and Riverside Cardiac Clinic Inc., and Daniel Giroux of Collège Boréal.

The candidates answered questions from the board and from the audience for a two and a half hour long debate.
