Original story

Greater Sudbury Utilities is dealing with a power outage in the Moonlight/Bancroft area this morning.

The utility tweeted just before 11 a.m. this morning that crews were en route.

GSU spokesperson Wendy Watson said a broken utility pole is the cause of the problem.

The outage affected about 700 customers originally, she said, but within 10 minutes GSU was able to re-route power to most customers.

About 10 customers, however, are still without power and will remain without electricity for a few hours, Watson said, because crews will have to replace the broken pole before their power can be restored.

NorthernLife.ca will update the story as new info is available.
