Power was fully restored to Copper Cliff shortly after 11 a.m. today, said Greater Sudbury Utilities in a news release.

The outage began at about 8:40 p.m. Friday night, caused when a high-voltage line was blown down by the wind. Most customers were restored within a short time, however, 37 customers remained without power overnight when crews maxed out their legal work hour limit.

Greater Sudbury Hydro powerline electricians were back at it this morning, with all things wrapped up just after 11 a.m.

“We thank our customers for their patience and understanding,” said the utility in its press release.
