And this year’s Bell Business Excellence Award winners are…

Greater Sudbury Chamber of Commerce honours 10 city businesses at 19th awards ceremony

Ten Greater Sudbury entrepreneurs and businesses were recognized May 12 at the Bell Business Excellence Awards gala, hosted by the Greater Sudbury Chamber of Commerce. 

“This year’s award recipients represent the businesses and entrepreneurs that have built our community,” said Karen Hourtovenko, chamber of commerce chair, in a news release. “They are visionary leaders and the reason why we continue to be inspired and see a bright future ahead.” 

This was the first year winners were not notified in advance. The three finalists in each of the 10 categories were invited to the gala and the winner in each category announced during the event.

And the winners are:

Business Start-Up Award:  ARC Climbing Yoga Fitness (Sponsored by Laurentian University)

Innovation Award:  Maestro Mine Ventilation (Sponsored by Cambrian College & NORCAT)

Company of the Year Award: Dalron Homes (Sponsored by Northern Life/Northern Ontario Business)

Best Place to Work Award: Gougeon Insurance Brokers (Sponsored by Huntington University)

Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award: Dr. Clean Inc. (Sponsored by BMO Bank of Montreal)
