The Northern Ontario Enterprise Gateway (NOEG) and NORCAT are bringing angel investors to Sudbury, as part of a investor-readiness program aimed at helping businesses be successful in the search for equity investment.

Angel investors are high net worth individuals who usually invest up to $500,000 in high growth businesses.

NOEG and NORCAT have assembled a panel of seasoned angel investors and entrepreneurs from the U.S., Toronto, Sudbury and North Bay. In a one-day session, these real-life investors will pass on their knowledge on becoming an investor-ready entrepreneur.

Business owners focused on taking their companies to the next level through expansion beyond local markets may find this session particularly important.

The event is scheduled for Nov. 13 at NORCAT in Sudbury.

Participants will have the opportunity to interact directly with the presenters and panelists on topics such as investor expectations, business valuation, structuring the deal, intellectual property and patent law and due diligence.

Only 15 business owners are being accepted to take part in this program, which will enable each business to determine investor readiness.

Interested businesses should submit an online application through the NOEG website at www.noeg.ca.
