Public Health Sudbury and Districts (PHSD) is reporting a new case of COVID-19 within its jurisdiction. The case involves a male person in his 70s with no travel history and no known contact with another confirmed case. It is categorized as an unknown exposure.

This is the 90th confirmed case of the coronavirus in this area since the health unit began documenting all local and confirmed cases earlier this year.

Through contact tracing, PHSD said it will notify all close contacts directly. If you are not contacted by Public Health, you are not considered a close contact.

No other information was provided by PHSD.

The last reported incidence reported by the health unit was on July 29th. On that day, there were 10 new cases reported.
