Another monthly winner has been announced for the popular 50-50 draw held each month by the St. Joseph’s Foundation in Sudbury.
The happy winner was Joyce Strojny, who took home $2,420 for supporting the foundation, which benefits St. Joseph’s Continuing Care Centre of Sudbury (SJCCC).
The foundation said Strojny worked as a valued member of the team at the Sudbury General Hospital for many years and was proud to contribute to the $5 million required for St. Joseph’s Continuing Care Centre to build additional new hospital beds in our community.
St. Joseph's also announced earlier this year it will be constructing a new 36-bed inpatient rehabilitation facility on Lasalle Boulevard to provide much-needed relief to Sudbury's acute care hospital, Health Sciences North.
Draws in support of the project are being held every month and tickets can be purchased online at StJoesSudbury5050.ca. SJCCC said those who support the Foundation can win two ways by having the chance to win cash as well as investing in local health care.
SJCCC reminds supporters to purchase tickets for the December draw by December 15 for a chance to win the early bird prize. Tickets remain on sale until December 31.
