The city is seeking applicants interested in becoming a deputy chief with the Greater Sudbury Police Service.

The police board has been “very pleased with Deputy Chief Sara Cunningham as she has settled into her new role over the last 14 months,” chair Al Sizer said in a media release.

“With that role in place, CAO Sharon Baiden has announced her retirement and the board is hiring a second deputy chief. This is an exciting opportunity for leaders in the policing community to be part of the new executive leadership team.”

Applications are being accepted until March 20, and the search is being undertaken by Waterhouse Executive Search. The board plans to hold interviews in early April.

To be considered for this position, a cover letter, resume and related information can be sent by email to [email protected].
