The City of Greater Sudbury is reminding residents and property owners that the deadline to apply for certain property tax rebates on final 2016 property taxes is Feb. 28. 

Applications must be received by the City of Greater Sudbury Tax department by this date.

The deadline applies to the Registered Charity Rebate and the Vacancy Rebate for Commercial and Industrial Properties programs.  

Residents who have completed a building demolition, who have been assessed for properties that should be exempt, who believe they have been assessed at an incorrect tax rate, or who believe a significant clerical error occurred on their property assessment, can also apply for a rebate or refund by the Feb. 28 deadline.
