Area schools get $2.1 million

Four school boards in the area will benefit from a transfusion of cash announced by the McGuinty government this week. The province announced it will spend $31 million to keep rural schools open in the province. Local boards will share $2.1 million.

Four school boards in the area will benefit from a transfusion of cash announced by the McGuinty government this week. The province announced it will spend $31 million to keep rural schools open in the province. Local boards will share $2.1 million. The Rainbow District School Board will receive $862,971; the Sudbury Catholic District School Board will receive $314,439; the Northern Ontario French Catholic board will receive $434,182; and the Northern Ontario French public board will receive $578,160.
