As there has been for weeks, there's a contingent of gas stations in outlying areas charging under a dollar per litre for gas, mostly in Lively and the Rayside-Balfour area. However, the Esso in Hanmer is now also charging 99.1 and the Esso in Capreol is charging 99.9. The cheapest gas in the city is 97.3 at Mac's in Lively.
In nearby Sturgeon Falls, gas ranges in price from 89.7 to 91.7, meaning gas there has dropped below 90 cents per litre.
The average price of gas in Ontario today is 93.2. The cheapest gas in the province is 75.9 in Muncey. The most expensive Ontario gas listed on GasBuddy.com today is 122.0 in Thunder Bay.
