Aug. 14 barbecue supports IMPACT 6/21 Foundation

The Investors Group is hosting an Aug. 14 barbecue in benefit of the IMPACT 6/21 Foundation. The foundation is a not-for-profit corporation formed to support the eradication of impaired driving.

The Investors Group is hosting an Aug. 14 barbecue in benefit of the IMPACT 6/21 Foundation.

The foundation is a not-for-profit corporation formed to support the eradication of impaired driving.

It was formed by the parents of Jazmine Houle, 15, Caitlin Jelley, 15, and Steven Philippe, 16, who were struck and killed by a drunk driver on the side of Highway 69 North in Hanmer in 2009.

“Investors Group is committed to supporting the worthwhile community initiatives driven by the IMPACT 6/21 Foundation and the dedicated people who make them a reality,” a press release from the business said.

The barbecue takes place from 3-7 p.m. Aug. 14 at 3020 Hwy. 69 North in Val Caron.
