Beginning Oct. 8, Michael Persinger, a Laurentian University professor, will compete with nine other professors in TVO's Best Lecturer Competition.

For the competition, the top ten were chosen by a panel of judges, measuring the clarity, coherence, energy and authority of their arguments.
The lectures will be broadcast on TVO for five weeks starting Oct. 8 at 1 pm and will be voted on by the television audience.
Persinger's lecture will be broadcast Oct. 28 and 29 at 1 pm. Viewers can vote by calling 1-866-281-3536 or by going to TVO website at www.tvo.org/bigideas.
