Got a great idea and a passion for business?

The Regional Business Centre is accepting applications for the provincially funded Summer Company program, from local students between 15 and 29 years of age.

Through this annual initiative, students will be invited to participate in hands-on training and mentoring, with the opportunity to receive up to $3,000 in grants towards starting their own business.

“The program is a great opportunity to support promising young entrepreneurs and provide them with the tools needed to grow and thrive in our community.” said Josée Pharand, Coordinator of the Regional Business Centre.

“Networking, training, and mentorship from local business leaders are key components of the program that support these young professionals in developing a wide array of personal and professional skills. Beyond the invaluable skill development opportunities, the program funding is an added bonus for a young entrepreneur to launch and succeed in business.”

Since the Regional Business Centre began facilitating the program in 2001, business concepts have included landscaping, food vendors, drone photographers, visual artists, silk screeners and many more.

Applications for the program close on May 17.
