Greater Sudbury was finally treated to a warm, sunny and dry day to cap off the Canada Day long weekend.
After heavy rains threatened to spoil Canada 150 celebrations across the city on Saturday and a thunderstorm rolled through town yesterday, today was the first in recent memory where you could leave your umbrella at home and enjoy the sun without having to run for cover.
It looks like the rain will hold off well into tonight as well with skies becoming clear this evening and a low of 12C after dark.
