Black Lives Matter Sudbury was set to host their One Year Anniversary Rally this Friday, June 25, but due to rain, and a change in location, they have chosen to postpone.

The new date for the event, BLMS One Year Anniversary: Rally and Reflect, will be July 9 at 4 p..m and is now located in the Tom Davies Square courtyard. After the rally, there will be performances from BIPOC artists, refreshments, and more.

The same pandemic safety requirements will be in place as the original, and face-coverings are required.

An announcement of the new date from the organizations states “We know we said rain or shine, but…” and added that moving the event to July 9 means the rain won’t, “dull our shine.”

You can find out more about the event by visiting BLMSudbury.ca.
