Boardwalk Gaming, Knights donate $14K to local charities

Boardwalk Gaming and the Knights of Columbus Council 3909, of Walden and Copper Cliff, donated $14,000 on Tuesday to six local charitable organizations.

The donation was part of the more than $1.2 million Boardwalk Gaming's 98 partner charities donate to community causes, said Denis Sivret, Boardwalk Gaming's general manager.

Tuesday's recipients included the Sam Bruno PET Scanner Fund, Maison Vale Hospice and the Alzheimer Society of Sudbury, Manitoulin, North Bay and Districts.
