A local organization which celebrates the accomplishments and successes of women in the business world is celebrating its 60th anniversary in 2005.
The Sudbury Business and Professional Women's Club is hosting a special press conference Tuesday night at Tom Davies Square to commemorate the organization's six decades of success in Greater Sudbury.
The event will commemorate 60 years in business and friendship, said club president Meredith Morris.
The evening will include a ?trip through memory lane? and will help those in attendance revisit the club's role in the community. A number of dignitaries are also scheduled to be in attendance to pay tribute and recognize the organization's contributions to this community over the past six decades.
BPW Canada president Darla Campbell will also bring greetings from the national and international boards.
Both senior levels of the organization were formed in 1930 with the Sudbury and Business Professional Women's Club receiving its charter on April 12, 1945.
