Breast health seminar

The Greater Sudbury Public Library, in partnership with the Sudbury District Health Unit, will be presenting a series of seminars dealing with health issues. The first one will be held Thursday, Oct.

The Greater Sudbury Public Library, in partnership with the Sudbury District Health Unit, will be presenting a series of seminars dealing with health issues.

The first one will be held Thursday, Oct. 10 at 7 pm at the main branch on MacKenzie Street and will deal with breast health.

The seminar will be presented by public health nurse Maureen McMillan and will deal with early detection of breast cancer. McMillan is committed to working with the community to prevent disease and promote healthy living by providing access to the latest health information and services so people can make informed choices about their own health.

This will be a relaxed discussion that will include a question-and-answer period.

The seminar is free and everyone is welcome. Light refreshments will be served.
