GSU tweeted about the incident at around 6 a.m. today.

The outage is impacting residents at the west end of Dean Avenue and Lorne Street, as well as Logan Avenue, Mary Street, Landsend Street and Walter Avenue. Some customers have not yet lost power but soon will, as the flow of electricity must be shut down to allow for the pole to be replaced.

GSU customers on Dean, Logan, Quinn, Jane, Mary, Landsend, Walter and Lorne west of Logan will lose power at around 9:30 a.m.

The pole needs to be replaced before power can be restored. At 7 a.m., GSU tweeted that the broken pole was hanging from the power lines.
