Sudbury?s own Daryl Brunt has survived another week on the hit TV program Canadian Idol as the group of idol finalists was trimmed to seven.
Brunt?s performance of Tainted Love by 80s one-hit-wonder Soft Cell also had the judges singing his praises following his performance on Tuesday night.
As 2.4 million votes were tallied, Amber Fleury of Calgary, Suzi Rawn of Kamploops and Josh Palmer of Saskatoon were placed in the bottom three, having received the fewest number of votes. Fleury was sent home.
The seven remaining competitors will now gear up for next week?s performance featuring a big band orchestra.
