A bush fire that broke out near Countryside Arena late Friday afternoon is under control, Greater Sudbury said in a tweet.
"Greater Sudbury Fire Services is on the scene of a small fire in the bush area behind Countryside Arena," the tweet said. :The fire is currently under control and there is no risk to residents and businesses in the area."
The smoke billowing from the blaze hit social media Friday, with many users concerned it was a forest fire. No word yet on the cause or when the fire will be extinguished.
