Ontario's chief energy conservation officer recognizes efforts to create a culture of conservation

Peter Love, Ontario's chief energy conservation officer, recently awarded Cambrian College with his prestigious Certificate of Recognition for their outstanding commitment to conservation, said a news release.

The ceremony took place during Cambrian's one-day Living Building conference and trade show, held at the college's e-Dome.

The event is geared toward the showcase of Cambrian's Sustainable Energy Centre, a research and education centre in the planning stages, and the college's new Energy Systems Technology program.

The SEC will also provide a testing ground for others in Northern Ontario to study and produce sustainable energy systems and green building technology. Students from the Energy Systems Technology program will assist these businesses at the Energy Centre.
