For the 13th consecutive year, Cambrian College's paramedic graduates have obtained a 100 per cent success rate on their provincial certification exam, which is the final step in becoming registered to work in the field of paramedicine in Ontario.

“I am proud and privileged to work each day with a team of committed students, faculty, technicians and support staff who have contributed to the continued success of Cambrian’s Paramedic program," said Derek McKinnon, paramedic program coordinator.

"We, as a team, continue to build a reputation for providing a demanding, exciting and successful program that leads graduates to rewarding careers.”

Recent graduates of the Paramedic program find employment as primary care paramedics. Cambrian is accepting applications from students who wish to begin the two-year paramedic program in September 2018.

For graduates, the College also offers an Advanced Care Paramedic (ACP) graduate certificate program to prepare students for careers as advanced land or flight paramedics.

Unique among Ontario colleges, the flight component of Cambrian’s Advanced Care Paramedic program provides graduates with increased opportunities for employment. Ontario’s air ambulance service, Ornge, partnered with Cambrian to create the program.

Ornge has employed a number of graduates to ensure that a high level of care is available to Ontario's patients.
