Students, prospective students and recent graduates of Cambrian College will reap rewards from a range of pathways to Algoma University degree programs, thanks to a new partnership between the two Northern Ontario institutions.

On Aug. 31, the presidents of Algoma and Cambrian signed a general agreement that provides qualified Cambrian students and graduates of certificate, diploma and advanced diploma programs with rewarding routes to bachelor’s degrees from Algoma University.

The broad agreement streamlines pathways to Algoma’s Bachelor of Arts or Science degrees, as well as its Bachelor degrees in Business Administration, Computer Science, Fine Arts, Music, and Social Work.

“Our new pathways agreement with Cambrian College makes getting a university degree more accessible for Northern Ontario students,” said Craig Chamberlin, president of Algoma University, in a press release.

“Our partnership maximizes credit transfer, streamlines admission, and offers greater choice for students who wish to pursue college and university credentials in Northern Ontario,” said Bill Best, Cambrian College president.
