Cambrian College graphic design students are gearing up to graduate in the coming weeks, and they hope the occasion will not only be meaningful to them but also memorable for families of children with cancer.

To give back to the community, the students are hosting a charity gala called Hearts of Oak on Apr. 19, at Cambrian’s Open Studio.

The gala will feature some of the art work made by these students during the year.

All proceeds from the gala will be donated to the Northern Ontario Families of Children with Cancer (NOFCC).

This gala caps off a year’s worth of fundraising activities for the graphic design students.

Their hard work has raised approximately $5,500 for charity so far, with a target of $7,000 by Apr. 19.

For more information on the about the gala, visit www.ccgraphicdesign.ca/heartsofoak.
