Cambrian hosts job fair

Cambrian College's Student Employment and Co-op Services and the Wabnode Institute are co-hosting a career fair in the school's gymnasium Tuesday, Feb. 7 from 10 am to 3 pm.

More than 70 employers and educators will be on campus for an event expected to draw over 1,500 students and alumni.

The job fair allows employers to attract students looking for a summer job, as well as graduates who are looking for contract or full-time employment. For students and alumni, the fair is an opportunity to network with employers, discuss career paths and examine employment prospects.

"Cambrian's annual Career and Job Fair enables employers to promote available employment opportunities and to conduct on-campus interviews," said Rick Fedec, manager of financial aid, student employment services and co-op placement, in a news release.

"It also enables them to get to know students and alumni who will become the next generation of business, industrial and trades professionals."

As well as employers, there will also be booths set up by other educational institutions and employment service and resource agencies.
