Tim Hortons is holding its annual Camp Day on Wednesday, May 15.
On this day, all coffee proceeds from Tim Hortons stores will be donated to the Tim Hortons ChildrenÂ?s Foundation. The funds collected will cover the cost of camp for children whose families would not otherwise be able to afford it. Other funding comes from year-round collection boxes and special events.
In 2001, $4 million was raised and 7,500 children were able to attend a Foundation Camp, located throughout Canada and the U.S. This year about 9,000 children will have the chance to attend a camp.
Children, aged 9 to 12, are selected to attend a camp for 10 days. Children who attended a previous summer camp and are between the ages of 13 and 18 are invited back under the Youth Tracking Program.
