The “Amatriciana” benefit dinner to support earthquake relief in central Italy takes place at the Caruso Club Enrico Restaurant starting at 5 p.m. on Nov. 6.

The Aug. 24 earthquake, which had a magnitude of 6.2, had its epicentre close to Accumoli. The initial earthquake was followed by at least 2,500 aftershocks. The earthquake caused the death of 297 people.

Several Italian regional recipes will be served, including pasta all'amatriciana, which originated in the town of Amatrice, one of the towns most devastated in the earthquake.

Funds raised through the benefit dinner go to the Italian Red Cross. Tickets cost $20 each. Phone 705-675-1357.
