Winter will be a little more comfortable for those in need thanks to another successful winter coat drive by Sudbury Catholic schools.
Spearheaded by the 15 members of the Student Senate, Sudbury Catholic District School Board schools collected 436 winter coats through the month of October.
The drive not only collected 436 coats but also winter accessories, far surpassing last year’s total of 200 coats and winter accessories. With help from Derek Cashmore of Cooper Equipment Rentals, the coats will be donated to those in need throughout the city.
“It was amazing to see our schools all come together and support such a wonderful cause,” said Ryan Scarpellini, a student trustee and member of the Student Senate. “We are excited to continue to grow the campaign year after year and continue to make a difference in our community.”
