CAW donates to women's shelter

In recognition of International Women's Day, the Canadian Auto Workers Union (CAW) is donating $2,500 to the Genevra House in Greater Sudbury.

In recognition of International Women's Day, the Canadian Auto Workers Union (CAW) is donating $2,500 to the Genevra House in Greater Sudbury.

The national CAW office is contributing $2,000 to the donation while the Mine Mill Local 598/CAW Retirees Chapter is giving $200 and the Local Union is donating $300.

The CAW council is donating more than $100,000 to women's shelters across the country where female CAW members live and work. Today 33 percent of CAW members are women.
