Support those who are forced to travel for their cancer care at the seventh annual Cristina's Coffee House, taking place at the Caruso Club on May 3 at 6:30 p.m.

Since 2013, the Northern Cancer Foundation (NCF) - Cristina Care Fund has raised more than $140,000 to support patients that are forced to travel outside the region to other centres for treatment.

Cristina's Care Fund was established by the friends and family of Cristina Faiella Roque, following her passing from non-Hodgkin's lymphona in 2012. Roque was forced to travel extensively during her four-year treatment, the cost and time of which put a considerable strain on her recovery.

In the past seven years, the fund has supported more than 160 patients in their treatment and outfitted a section of the Ottawa General Hospital with TVs for their in-patient and out-patient rooms. Patients from across the country, as well as those from Nothern Ontario, travel to Ottawa General Hospital to receive stem cell transplants, among other treatments.

Cristina's Coffee House is an art-filled evening centered around the ambience of a European cafe, featuring local musicians, dancers, comedians and artists, as well as a variety of free treats. There will also be an on-site pasta bar available at the cost of $10, silent auction and a variety of unique entertainment.

Tickets are $25 and can be purchased here.
