Students at École secondaire catholique Champlain were supposed to take part in a humanitarian mission to Peru in 2020-21.

But with that trip cancelled due to COVID-19, they decided to instead donate $1,800 in merchandise to the Sudbury Infant Food Bank and nearly $2,000 in food to the Chelmsford Food Bank to help people in need.

“What a beautiful gesture of kindness!” said a press release from the school board.
