Check out the 'supermoon' this evening

Look up, way up. Tonight, on Aug. 10, you'll get a chance to view the biggest and brightest moon of the year — the supermoon. The moon will appear to be 14 per cent bigger and 30 per cent brighter, as it's closer to the Earth than usual.

The moon will appear to be 14 per cent bigger and 30 per cent brighter, as it's closer to the Earth than usual.

This year, the supermoon will be accompanied by the Perseid meteor shower, where 100 meteors and hour will be racing through the sky.
