The Child and Family Centre, lead agency for child and youth mental health in the Sudbury and Manitoulin districts, hosts Child and Youth Mental Health Week activities from May 1 to May 7.
With recent estimates suggesting that one in five Canadian youth struggle with mental health issues, the centre said in a news release it's never been more important to support the mental wellbeing of the community’s children and youth.
On May 2, area high school students will be taking part in a day of physical activity and wellness at Collège Boréal in order to promote positive mental health.
