Chuck Labelle will share stage with students this week

École Notre-Dame (Hanmer) will be hosting a spring music concert on Wednesday, May 24, at 6 p.m.

This cultural event will showcase the musical talents of students from grade 1 to 6 as well as the music band Virtuose from École secondaire catholique l’Horizon. It is expected that over 400 people, including students, families and friends of the school, will attend the show. By presenting this high-level event, made possible by the Ontario Arts Council, École Notre-Dame seeks to offer its students the opportunity to live a memorable Francophone cultural and identity development experience. In their preparation for this concert, the Notre-Dame students benefited from the expertise of Jean-Guy "Chuck" Labelle.

This renowned Franco-Ontarian artist will have the pleasure of performing on stage with the elementary level students. In addition, by sharing the stage with musicians from ÉSC l'Horizon, Notre-Dame musicians will be able to dream of pursuing their music education at the secondary level in a Conseil scolaire catholique Nouvelon school.

The following day, Thursday, May 25, at 11 a.m., the Virtuose music band from ÉSC l'Horizon will return to École Notre-Dame to present a joint performance with  Labelle.

More than 400 students and staff from École Notre-Dame, École Ste-Thérèse (Val Thérèse), École Jean-Paul II (Val Caron) and École St-Joseph (Hanmer) will be treated to this show featuring the musical talents of ÉSC l’Horizon students.
