Greater Sudbury Mayor David Courtemanche and council invite citizens to share their ideas and comments during a review of the second draft of the Official Plan for the City of Greater Sudbury.

Greater Sudbury Mayor David Courtemanche and council invite citizens to share their ideas and comments during a review of the second draft of the Official Plan for the City of Greater Sudbury. A series of public input sessions have been scheduled in each ward, starting Feb. 13.

The Official Plan lays the foundation for decisions related to land use as it pertains to managing growth and change, protecting the natural environment, investing in infrastructure, developing quality of place and building a healthier community.

The second draft Official Plan for the City of Greater Sudbury is available online at www.planningsudbury.com. Hard copies can be reviewed at Citizen Service Centres and Greater Sudbury Public Libraries.

Citizens are invited to drop in without appointment to meet municipal representatives and to view displays during public information sessions from 6 pm to 9 pm

Monday, Feb. 13:
Ward 1 - T.M. Davies Community Centre, (Walden Community Arena Hall, upstairs) 325 Anderson Dr., Lively.
Ward 3 - Valley East Citizen Service Centre/Public Library, Meeting Room 1 410 Elmview Dr. Hanmer.

Thursday, Feb. 16:
Ward 5 - Countryside Sports Complex, Gallery
325 Countryside Dr., Sudbury.

Tuesday, Feb. 21:
Ward 2 - Lionel E. Lalonde Centre (former Trillium Centre), Room M191
239 Montée Principale, Azilda.

Wednesday, Feb. 22:
Ward 4 - Garson Community Centre/Arena, Hall
100 Church St., Garson.

Thursday, Feb. 23:
Ward 6 - Tom Davies Square, Foyer
200 Brady St., Sudbury.
