Due to a watermain connection on Municipal Road 55 and Reserve Rd., Greater Sudbury officials are warning residents of Naughton and Whitefish that they should expect low pressure and discoloured water for 24 hours starting Oct. 25 at 9 pm.

Discoloured water can be cleared by running cold water for a short period of time, although it poses no threat to human health. The water will, however, stain laundry. If low pressure continues, contact the city at 560-2022.

The installation of a new well water system for the residents of Falconbridge will also continue Tuesday, meaning backwash in local watermains could disturb sediment, resulting in brown or red water that will stain clothing.

Citizens are advised to check water clarity before starting laundry or dishwashers.
