Ward 8 Coun. Al Sizer was involved in a head-on collision Sunday afternoon near Parry Sound, Sudbury.com has learned.
Few details are available, but according to parrysound.com, Britt and Area Fire Department, emergency services and members of the West Parry Sound OPP responded to the collision at 12:48 p.m. Sunday.
Two people had to be extricated, one from each of the vehicles involved. The injuries from the collision were not life-threatening, but four people were taken to the West Parry Sound Health Centre by ambulance.
The accident was about one kilometre south of the Magnetawan River Bridge, according to the parrysound.com report. A northbound vehicle crossed over into the southbound lanes and hit another vehicle head-on.
OPP had no further information on the incident Monday, including whether any charges would be laid. Sizer didn't respond to calls and an email seeking comment.
