The Greater Sudbury Civic Awards have been presented to two groups and 10 individuals, in recognition of their giving back to the community.
These awards promote and reward leadership, service and enrichment of the human spirit through volunteerism and community involvement.

"Last year, Greater Sudbury was named the fourth most caring community in Canada with one of the highest volunteer rates per capita," said Greater Sudbury Mayor John Rodriguez, in a release. "The people recognized here tonight make a significant and lasting change in our community, and we thank them for it."
