A brand of coleslaw sold across Eastern Canada is being recalled due to concerns about possible Listeria monocytogenes contamination.
The Belleisle Farms brand of Cole Slaw is sold in 227 gram packages with best-before date of Sept. 25 and UPC 0 33383 65260 3.
The Canadian Food Inspection Agency says anyone who has this product should throw it out or return it to the store where purchased.
Food contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes may not look or smell spoiled but can still make you sick.
"Symptoms can include vomiting, nausea, persistent fever, muscle aches, severe headache and neck stiffness," says the CFIA.
Pregnant women, the elderly and people with weakened immune systems are particularly at risk.
There are no reported illnesses linked to the coleslaw.
