More than 400 Collège Notre-Dame students hit the streets Feb. 21 to continue their legacy of supporting local cancer research in the community.
Their annual door-to-door canvass in support of the Northern Cancer Foundation (NCF) raised $26,000. All money raised supports cancer research at the Northeast Cancer Centre.
To date, the campaign has raised close to $675,000.
“The NCF would like to thank not only the students of Collège Notre-Dame for an impressive result," said Tannys Laughren, executive director of the NCF. "But also to the residents of Sudbury for continuing to support this campaign.”
The Northern Cancer Foundation (NCF) raises much-needed funds for the Northeast Cancer Centre in Sudbury. Every dollar donated stays in the northeast and helps fund vital patient care, new equipment and leading-edge cancer research. The NCF provides critical support which enables the Northeast Cancer Centre to give patients the best care possible.
