Committee plans to build dome over shrine

A local campaign is underway to fund the construction of a dome over the Sudbury Grotto.

The purpose of the dome is to shelter visitors to the shrine  from the elements. It will also be used as a gathering place for class visits.

The site, located in the centre of Sudbury near downtown, has already become a favourite meeting place for students from across the region who gather for prayer and reflection.

Members of the education sector and the public are being asked donate to this project.

Donations can be sent to the diocese of Sault Ste. Marie- Grotto Redevelopment, 40 Eyre St. Sudbury P3C 4A5. For more information phone Father Ronald Perron, at 673–3961.
