Sudbury’s Schuster Boyd McDonald is hosting its 26th annual charity golf tournament at the Idylwylde Golf and Country Club on Aug. 7.

After raising more than $1 million for the Health Sciences North, Schuster Boyd McDonald is shifting focus in raising funds for community long-term care facilities in Sudbury. The year’s proceeds will go toward St Joseph’s Health Centre.

The health centre oversees and manages three distinct organizations: St Joseph’s Villa, a 128-bed long-term care home on South Bay Road; Villa St. Gabriel, another 128-bed long-term care home located in Chelmsford; and St. Joseph’s Continuing Care Centre, a rehabilitative care centre.

The event is open for registration by four-person teams. The tournament boasts food from the club’s executive chef, and the grand prize draw is a golf trip for four with a value of $4,000.
Teams are set to tee off at noon.
