Sudbury's job market will get a boost later this month with the launch of a new contact centre that will create 250 local jobs, with the potential for up to 350 jobs in the future.

Millennium1 Solutions, a company that outsources business processes for organizations in the financial services, government, retail, and manufacturing sectors, will launch a new office in Sudbury.

The Sudbury centre will offer 250 new jobs at launch, with potential for up to 100 more in the future. The company says it will locate the contact centre at 80 National St., off Maley Drive in New Sudbury.

The company has told Sudbury.com the majority of the jobs are permanent, full-time positions.

Hiring will begin in January with start dates as early as February for senior leadership and corporate support positions.

“We are continuing to grow at an exceptionally rapid pace with many of Canada's leading brands choosing to partner with Millennium1 Solutions,” said company CEO Tom Band in a press release.  “This has resulted in extensive hiring within all of our Canadian facilities. We are delighted to be joining the Sudbury business community and look forward to being an active and positive contributor to all aspects of the community.”

Customer service jobs (English and bilingual) as well as leadership and support department roles will be available, the company said in a release.

The Millennium1 Solutions website will be updated regularly with new job postings, the company also said.

Sudbury.com will update this story later on today.
