Come this September, the town of Coniston could lose its only medical facility. The clinic has been sitting empty since last March when the community's family physician retired, leaving more than 3,000 residents without a doctor.
The City of Greater Sudbury needs to fill the facility with a new doctor before the lease expires in September. If the lease is left to expire, the facility will likely be turned into apartments.
