The Coniston Community Action Network (CAN) is excited to host the community’s first annual Christmas parade and tree lighting event, happening Dec. 2 and Dec. 3.

The parade weekend kicks off with the tree lighting in Centennial Park at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. The fun event will feature the singing of Christmas carols, hot chocolate and “a little bit of holiday spirit.”

The main event — the Christmas parade — will be held on Saturday evening. Join Conistonians for the First Annual Coniston CAN Christmas Parade on Dec. 3, starting at 6 p.m.

The parade route is as follows: The parade begins outside the elementary schools on Edward Avenue, heading south, then turning left on Government Road at the park and ending at Second Avenue.

“Please join us after the parade at the Colonial Inn in Coniston for complimentary hot chocolate and snacks care of the Colonial Inn and Andrew's Valu Mart.”
