Today, the Hon. Erin O’Toole, Leader of Canada’s Conservatives, met with more than 20,000 Ontarians to share Canada’s Recovery Plan, his detailed plan to get the economy back on track and secure the future.

O’Toole discussed details of the Conservative plan in a telephone town hall with residents of southwestern Ontario.

A total of 21,432 people joined the Conservative Leader’s town hall meeting.

“With the launch of Canada’s Recovery Plan this week, I was thrilled to speak with Ontarians about our plan to create jobs and get people back to work,” O’Toole said. “We will get the economy firing on all cylinders in Ontario and across Canada. We will ensure no Canadian is left behind.”

Through Canada’s Recovery Plan, a Conservative government will:

  • Secure Jobs by recovering the one million jobs lost during the pandemic
  • Secure Accountability by enacting new anti-corruption laws
  • Secure Mental Health through the Mental Health Action Plan
  • Secure the Country by securing Canadian-made medical supplies
  • Secure our Economy by balancing the budget over the next decade

Canada’s Conservatives have a plan to strengthen Ontario’s manufacturing sector. Conservatives will bring manufacturing of personal protective equipment and medical supplies back to Canada, as well as invest $1 billion dollars to position Canada as a leading manufacturer of electric vehicles, including electric trucks.

“This election is about who Canadians trust to secure their economic future, and secure the future for all Canadians,” O’Toole concluded. “Canada’s Conservatives are ready to deliver for the people of Ontario and all of Canada.”
